A Note on Staged Violence: GUNSMOKE will use fake stage weaponry in a safe and responsible way to imitate the rough and tumble life of Sheriff Matt Dillon, a U.S. Marshal in Dodge City, Kansas. There will be choreographed fist fights as well.
All staged violence will be choreographed within actors’ boundaries and skill level. If actors prefer not to be considered for characters because of this staged violence please indicate this in the space on the audition form, and/or discuss with the director at auditions.
Intimacy: Sheriff Matt Dillon has a flirty relationship with Miss Kitty Russel. They never act on their feelings. Please discuss with the director if you are unwilling to represent intimacy for these roles.
