A disparate group of individuals takes refuge in an abandoned house when corpses begin to leave the graveyard in search of fresh human bodies to devour. The pragmatic Ben does his best to control the situation, but when the reanimated bodies surround the house, the other survivors begin to panic. As any semblance of order within the group begins to dissipate, the zombies start to find ways inside — and one by one, the living humans become the prey of the deceased ones.

21 Chump Street is the true cautionary tale about an honors student who will do anything for his new crush. Based on the story by Robbie Brown which originally appeared on WBEZ’s This American Life. Music and Lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda
West High Improv will perform, as well as 15 minute comedy ‘No Words’ by Dave Block. A preview of the upcoming musical Twelfth Night will round out the evening.
21 Chump Street is directed by Brian Lyke and Choreographed by CiCi Tamondong. Live music orchestrated by members of the West High Band.
Appropriate for all ages, especially fans of Hamilton, Moana, and Encanto. Please note that 21 Chump Street is a love story involving marijuana. The musical thoughtfully acknowledges the legal and ethical consequences of underage drug use. If you or your family is not comfortable with these topics, please join us at our spring musical ‘Twelfth Night,’ opening in April 2024.

Twelfth Night is a rousing modern musical inspired by Shakespeare’s classic comedy about girl power, mistaken-identity, and self-discovery.
Twelfth Night tells the story of Viola, a young heroine who washes up on the shores of Illyria, disguises herself as a man, is sent to court a Countess and falls hard for a Duke. As she navigates this strange and wonderful new land, she finds her true self and true love in the process. Featuring an original jazz-funk score by Shaina Taub, this contemporary 90-minute musical about mistaken identity and self-discovery is appropriate for all audiences. Full of pure joy, lots of laughs, and a deeper message of empathy and compassion, Twelfth Night is the family friendly musical you’ll want to fall in love with again and again.

We operate out of one of the biggest and best venues in the state, the historical Anchorage High School Auditorium. So get involved with West Theatre! If you are a student, join Thespian Troupe #700, the oldest Thespian troupe in the State. If you are a parent, we need you in our Booster Organization.
